International Surfing Day-Wednesday June 20th

International Surfing Day was founded so that surfers and surf enthusiasts from all over the world could have an chance to come together to celebrate the sport of surfing. In its eighth year, International Surfing Day has grown to hundereds of events in over two dozen countries. From all different types of events, surfers across the globe will come together on Wednesday June 20th 2012 to celebrate the sport of surfing. In doing so, they along with others, will give something back to the oceans, waves and beaches that give so much enjoyment to all.

We each have a special memory of the oceans and we hope to pass the ability to do so along to future generations to come. So take some time on June 20th and help celebrate the oceans no matter where you are.  If you can’t make it to the beach and are stuck in an office, you can check out the Eight Hour Web-A-Thon.

If you need more information check out the official International Surfing Day Website. If you need some shorts to hit the water get some at The Ski Bum, either on line or at one of our two locations.
